Background: Despite its remained position as the main culprit of stroke worldwide, studies on intracranial stenosis in Indonesia are still very limited. It is necessary to research measure prevalence and risk factors post-ischemic stroke. Method: We conducted case-control with participants 234 ischemic patients. Each patient was listed for their analyzed association stenosis. Intracranial circulation determined by transcranial doppler (TCD) sonography TD-DOP 9000 a 2-MHz probe. A peak systolic velocity (PSV) >140cm/s or mean (MSV) >80cm/s were used criteria middle cerebral artery (MCA) In contrast, PSV>90 cm/s MSV>60cm/s determine posterior Statistical analysis SPSS 18.0 software which The Independent t-test chi-square test assess significant differences correlation P-value <0.05 statistically significant.Result: cases 38%, anterior being most common location. Hypertension, diabetes mellitus dyslipidemia often factors. Only hypertension OR=2.97 (95%CI=1.76-4.98) OR=1.48 (95%CI=1.12-2.43) positively correlated increased stenosis.Conclusion: occurrence patients high presence mellitus.
